Tantan Noodle problem

hello , this is what happened:

i wanted to have a Chung E as a pet and i decided to find the taming item called "Tantan Noodle" so when i finally got one and tried to use it on a chung E it doens't work , i mean normally when you use a taming item the item is consumed and then an icon appears whenever it is a succes or a failure but with this item i clicked on it more than once and nothing happened , the item appears on the inventory as a usable item but nothing happens
